It has been announced that those MP's who lost their seats in the last UK elections will get around £54000 each because they lost their seats. In stark contrast you find out you're losing your job the redundacy payment is currently set at £280 a week for 20 years' entitlement, which means the maximum payment under the statutory scheme is currently £8,400. You have the right to a redundancy payment if you are an employee who has worked continuously for your employer for at least two years and you are being made redundant. So how come we have to pay so they can have comfortable time cos they have lost their job.
